“Home sales in January were strong relative to the past few years. There were quite a few bidding wars on well priced properties, although rarely exceeding list price, and many speedy sales were recorded. A generally positive outlook in the business community seems to have translated well for the real estate market. The likelihood of higher interest rates in the near future has made buyers commit to purchases. We anticipate the market remaining strong through until at least June.”
I really appreciate when top producing Realtors from out of area keep in touch with me. The market information direct from major producing Realtors keeps me current with what we can expect in terms of our local market. If you want sold, it is super important to connect with out of area buyers…and their representatives!
And from the Calgary Herald:
The Housing Trends and Affordability report said a gradual but steady recovery in housing demand in the past half-year has just begun to bolster market conditions in the Calgary area by drawing the prolonged slump since 2007 closer to an end.
