“LOWER TOWN” has something in common with “NORTH BEACH”.
Both are sought after neighbourhoods in Summerland, both offer very decent access to the shores of Okanagan Lake, and both offer excellent walking along the shores of Lake as well.
Lower Town has a rich history with its huge pier and the remnants of the Cannery. And Lower Town has an exciting future with the Waterfront Resort and Local Lounge and Grille leading the way. For info, call or text 250 486 2529
North Beach is like a little Naramata in terms of its cottages, and basically very few modern day amenities. You will not find any big box stores here! But beautiful waterfront there is. And just up the road is Greata Ranch Winery, with Peachland and the Kelowna International Airport just beyond. But, head south on Hiway 97 and in minutes you reach the small town of Summerland, with the Okanagan’s finest Main Street. And plenty of wineries, plus a couple of golf courses thrown in for good measure!

“Summerland captures the essence of the Okanagan with an abundance of historicall, cultural, recreational and agricultural experiences. Meandering roads with views of brilliant blue water and lush vineyards and orchards entice visitors to stop and sample the local fare. The charming town center, anchored by Giant’s Head Mountain Park, offers an opportunity to share in the genuine allure of the small town. A true patchwork of activities and vistas, Summerland is the choice for the Okanagan’s most authentic experience.”
